Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how you can get a refund for a BeRef purchase. It applies to every paid plan — Proof Audit, Founder Pilot, Studio, Agency and Team — and to the Solo Start deposit. The site and billing are operated by [Legal entity name] ([Address]).

Payments & Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax/VAT and your receipt, and carries out approved refunds to your original payment method. Refunds usually appear within [5–10] business days, depending on your bank.

Pre-launch / early access

BeRef is in early access; some plans are sold ahead of, or during, the rollout of features. We only charge for what we can deliver, and if we cannot deliver what you paid for, you receive a full refund. Where a plan is sold as early access, the delivery timeline and what is included at purchase are stated at checkout.

Refunds by plan

Proof Audit ($49, one-time)

Full refund if you request it before we begin the audit work. Once we have started or delivered the audit it is a completed custom service and is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we failed to deliver.

Setup fees (Studio $299 · Agency $499, one-time)

Refundable in full before onboarding/setup work begins. Once the assisted setup has started, the fee is non-refundable for the work already delivered.

Monthly subscriptions — Founder Pilot, Studio, Agency

You can cancel at any time, which stops all future charges and keeps your access until the end of the current period. The current period is [non-refundable / refundable on request]. We do not charge for any period after you cancel.

Annual subscriptions

Annual plans are refundable within [14] days of purchase or renewal if the plan has not been substantially used; after that the remaining term is [non-refundable / refunded pro-rata]. Renewals are charged automatically — cancel before the renewal date to avoid them.

Solo Start deposit ($5)

The $5 deposit is [refundable on request / credited toward your first paid plan]. If you take the founding-member offer, the deposit is applied to your first invoice.

Your right of withdrawal (EU / UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital services, if you ask us to start immediately and acknowledge that you lose this right once the service is fully performed, the withdrawal right ends when delivery is complete. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

How to request a refund

Email beref@beref.tech with your order or receipt number and the reason. We aim to respond within [3] business days. You can also request a refund through the Paddle receipt emailed to you.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong, please contact us first — we can usually fix it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may suspend access while Paddle reviews the case.

Changes

We may update this policy; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. See also our Terms and Privacy Policy.
